The Mountain View Broncos coaching team is made up of local college and school coaches and players.  We are all share a common love for the game and are passionate about teaching young athletes.

Avery

Coach Harrison

Club President & U17 & U13 Girls Head Coach

When Avery Harrison was named Head Coach of the Olds College Broncos he became only the third coach in their brief history.  It is also Harrisons 32nd year coaching in the ACAC. But signing with the Broncos was also a homecoming for Harrison as he was born in Olds and grew up in Carstairs attending Hugh Sutherland and Olds High School. Coach Bob Murray

Vice President – Coach Development / U17 Boys Head Coach

Coach Bob Murray brings extensive knowledge and experience to the club, having served many areas of the sport in Alberta. Bob has served as ACAC President, Team Alberta Head Coach, Canada Basketball Centre for Performance Head Coach, and has been distinguished as an ASAA Provincial Championship coach and a Canada Basketball National Medalist.

 

Coach Kevin Adams

Coach Kevin Adams

Kevin grew up in Three Hills and played every sport that he could. Kevin has coached the Didsbury High School team for the past 3 seasons. He has always enjoyed seeing the lightbulb glow when an athlete comes to understand a certain aspect of the game or when they learn a life lesson.

 

Coach Leighann Reimer

Coach Leighann comes to the club from Three Hills, Alberta, where she and her family own and operate 3 businesses in the region. She played 5 years for the University of Calgary Dinos 1996-2001 where she was distinguished as the 1997 Canadian Rookie of the Year. Among her nurmerous achievements, Leighann was honored  as a 1998, 1999, 2000, and 2001 All-Canadian, plus 2000 & 2001 Canadian Player of the Year. Leighann played professionally in France from 2001-2004 and has coached in Three Hills since 2017.

 

Coach Amelia Furst

U13 Girls Coach

Amelia Furst graduated from Olds Koinonia Christian School where she helped lead her team to the 2018 provincial championship. There she also was distinguished as the ASAA 1A player of the year.  This year she played as a starting point guard for the Olds College Broncos Women’s team. She’s excited to join the coaching team with the girls’ U13 Mountain View Broncos!

 

Coach Naomi Rowe

U13 Girls Coach

Coach Naomi will be co-leading the U13 girls this year, bringing her experience in high school and college basketball to the team. Naomi helped lead her high school team to a gold medal performance in Provincials in 2019. She then joined the Olds College Broncos for the 2021-2022 season.

Naomi is a consummate athlete, participating in provincial level cross-country, badminton, basketball.

 

Coach Kaylee Schultz

Coach Kaylee grew up outside of the Acme/Linden area and enjoyed playing basketball for her school and various club teams. Kaylee recently completed her first coaching season, assisting her father with the Acme Senior Girls team. Her favorite part of coaching is helping youth develop their confidence both on and off the court.  She will be assisting coach Avery with the High School girls team. Off the court, Kaylee serves in the community as a Family Wellness worker with the Kneehill Regional FCSS.
